This is Bloomberg Markets european close with guy johnson and alix steel. Guy at a headline level the index is not moving very much. The stoxx 600 catching a little bit of a bid. 441 is where we are tracking right now. Single stocks there is plenty of action. Ongoing problems with a range of issues right now. Many related to its original acquisition. It has issues with trains on the new elizabeth line in london. Ongoing issues in a number of places. We have management saying maybe we need to sell some assets and that is what seems to be knocking the stock. The outlook not looking that favorable. How they stabilize the ship. Puma is down 10 and ripping into stocks like adidas. They are going into a blackout at puma they had a call last night. They had a call where theyre not painting as favorable out of picture. The stock has reacted very strongly to that. It has been whipping around. Coming into the close that stock down 10 . Puma is how you would say it. Alix we do. I dont know why we
Off of the highest of the year. We will see a 10 drop, a correction until we are done around 4100 but we are headed in that direction. U. S. 10 year yield coming up. Yesterday morning we saw the 10 year go to 4888. Across the curve, the rise in yields has been the story and it is fascinating. Bloomberg and dollar index coming down, 1,274. Mainly as we have seen yet and against the u. S. Dollar and the nymex crude, what an incredible reversal this has been. Last week were up over 95 a barrel and now we are down to 82 and 77 since. Lots going on in price action across assets and in terms of the macro picture, San Francisco fed president mar ly spoke about how these high yields are affecting her thinking about the banks Interest Rate path. The bond market has tightened considerably. 36 basis points since we met in september. That is equivalent to about a rate hike. The need to do tightening additionally is not there.
