A TOUCHING tribute was held by Wotton Rovers Football Club, paying respects to a member of the “football family” who tragically died last week. Jordan Banks of Blackpool was tragically killed when he was struck by lightning on a football field on May 11. The Liverpool FC fan’s sudden death has touched many involved in football across the country. Wotton Rovers held a special tribute to the young footballer, showing support to his family at their match on Saturday. Wotton Rovers’ first team, and Saturday’s opponents Painswick, team held a minute’s silence for their fellow football family member on the pitch at Synwell, prior to the match.
