Reporter virginia education secretary anne holton is here at Highland Valley Elementary School celebrating a success. The school has pulled out of warning status for accreditation. Were proud of those results and its been through a lot of hard work in the last several years. Reporter haidl valley elementary has more children in poverty than any other Fairfax County school. For more than 84 of the students here, their first language is spanish. Its so exciting to see a school dealing with the challenges, very high free and reduced lunch and english language learners and yet doing phenomenal work. Reporter but 20 other Fairfax County schools are still struggling failing to meet accreditation. 92 of the children here are on free and reduced lunch which is an indicator of poverty status.
