Rutherford County, TN— (October 14, 2021) Rutherford County Fire Rescue (RCFR) reminds the community that beginning October 15, a permit from the State will be required for open burning.Open burning is defined as “the burning of a bonfire, vegetation debris fire or other fire in an outdoor location where fuel burned is not contained in an incinerator, outdoor fireplace, barbecue grill or barbecue pit.”Between October 15 and May 15 each year, state law requires citizens to obtai .

This year’s campaign works to educate everyone about simple but important actions they can take to keep themselves and those around them safe.  “What do the sounds mean?
