Tensions still remain high in that area of the city, but this morning, a drastic improvement to what we saw over the weekend. Heres a better look at the area of milwaukee were talking about. The sherman park neighborhood is located near the Northwest Side of the city. The blocks of burleigh, chambers and sherman saw the most criminal activity on saturday and sunday. At 6 oclock this morning it will come down. Deputies put it up last night to close the park. Evening. Just 6 people arrested compared to more than 30 over the weekend. And no reports of

Pete zervakis is in sherman park where its set to reopen this morning after being closed by the Milwaukee County Sheriffs Office overnight. He joins us now with more. The park is expected to reopen at 6 oclock this morning. 12 hou sheriffs deputies put up this orange fencing to keep people out. Weve been here in the sherman park neighborhood the last three days. Neighbors say now that the area has started to return to normalcy. Theyre focus is coming together and healing as a community. People who live here describe sherman park as diverse. Tightknit. And safe. Its part of the city where people take pride in owning and keeping up their homes. Its also got a nice assortment of here are adamamant that the unrest over the weekend is not representative of this community.
