Subscriber only From the pommel horse to parallel bars, rising Sunshine Coast youth are poised to shine in their pet events during the final days of the Gymnastics Queensland Extravaganza. More than 40 talents from the Maroochy Beach Gymnastics club will descend on Caloundra Indoor Stadium alongside 2100 athletes from 75 clubs across the state for the event this weekend. Acrobatics, trampoline, tumbling, rhythmic and aerobic gymnastics disciplines have already been held, with the coming days to showcase the more traditional artistic disciplines and apparatuses. The 10-day event wraps up on Monday. It ll be the Wises Rd club s one and only competition for the year after COVID-19 wreaked havoc on sport.
