Democrats, with that friday deadline question mark they have been working hard throughout the race is trying to get an agreement to fund the government beyond friday. Are still significant problems, talks of funding for president Donald Trumps proposed order while its certainly an issue, as are some payments related to the 2010 Health Care Law. There are still issues to work through. Theres very little time to complete them. You are writing about Mick Mulvaney, in the headlines your piece is that mulvaney sharpens white house demand for border wall funding. What do they want out of it . They want roughly a billion dollars for the construction of the border wall. It is unclear if they will get any funding, because democrats have been clear for weeks that it is a nonstarter. They see it as an inefficient way to secure the border, and they are unlikely to support a bill with that funding in it. However, the white house has been pushing hard in the past few days, making noise insisting on

Now, last night we received a bit of good news, not just for democrats but for the country. That the president is easing off demands for a border wall in the government funding bill. We democrats have been opposed to including the wall in this bill that the beginning of the negotiations. Theres no plan to make mexico pay for it, as the president promised he would. Theres no plan to resolve the Eminent Domain issues on the border and the money is better used elsewhere. The wall is 50 billion and you can use that money to give just about every american broadband. For all those reasons and others , we oppose the wall and four weeks we have been making Good Progress in negotiating with our republican colleagues. The president s 11th hour demands threatened to upend the progress. Were pleased hes backing off. Now, the bipartisan, negotiations will reach an agreement that both
