The two shooting deaths at Stonehenge subdivision occurred after two Flowery Branch brothers arrived to look at a dirt bike advertised for sale on Facebook Marketplace, Athens-Clarke police announced Friday. While police are still withholding information on why the situation escalated into violence, the department said “an interaction between the parties involved resulted in an exchange of gunfire.” The gunfire erupted Monday along Marlborough Downs Road in the subdivision off Atlanta Highway, marked at the entrance with a granite monument resembling the ancient Stonehenge monument in England. Police said the brothers Casey Parten, 21, and Tyler Parten, 24 went to the location intending to buy the bike from 16-year-old Ashawn Adams.

Police: 1 teen, 1 adult killed in shooting at Bogart home By FOX 5 Digital Team Published BOGART, Ga. - Police have identified the victims of a deadly shooting in Clarke County on Monday afternoon. Officials tell FOX 5 the shooting happened in the 300 block of Marlborough Downs Road in Bogart. The Athens-Clarke County Police Department has not released details surrounding the shooting. Thursday, police say the victims have been identified as 16-year-old Ashawn Adams of Athens and 21-year-old Casey Parten of Flowery Branch. Officials say Adams was found dead at the scene. Medics rushed Parten to a nearby hospital where he died from his injuries.
