The schedule for this winter is one that’s seen some gaps in some weeks for Moffat County wrestling. Still, even if there’s been more downtime than athletes have liked, they have never been wasteful about.
The downside of winter sports is an increase in bugs circulating, a higher likelihood of physical damage thanks to snow and ice and just tougher conditions all-around. Yet, Moffat County boys wrestling is making it.
Much like the final season for Moffat County upperclassmen, Senior Night at the Doghouse flew by all too quickly. MCHS boys wrestling hosted its only home event Tuesday, a dual match against the Rifle Bears.
With the Moffat County boys making waves at a whole new event and the girls retaining their team title at a familiar tournament, Bulldog wrestlers made their mark this weekend. The girls won Saturday’s tournament.
