Firefighters worked to get the upper hand on the kincade fire, it is burning out of control. The latest numbers, cal fire said it has burned nearly 26,000 acres and the fire is only 11 contained. Authorities say 77 structures have been destroyed, that includes 31 homes. The spike in the number of people forced to leave their homes or businesses. Earlier today, 44,000 people were under Evacuation Orders which affected the residents of windsor and healdsburg. Mark essex said another 100,000 people under the Evacuation Order, that brings the total ,0 people in these communities are ordered to leave. We have Team Coverage of the fire. It destroyed roughly 19,000 buildings with most of the damage occurring in the first four hours. The day the fire broke out the town of paradise had a population of 26,000 people. So far only 3000 have moved back and one year later the number of destroyed homes that have been rebuilt stands at 11. The future paradise is bright. It is sending a large plume of smoke into the air and that has caused a shelter in place in the city of crockett and suggested one for the city of rodeo which is very close by. Looking at this what we are seeing in effect is unburned product hydrocarbons going up in the air. Very toxic and bad for you. You can see hoses all around there. Here is what we heard about the airquality issues a little while ago. The particulate matter that is originating from these fires is causing conditions that range from unhealthy conditions for people with sensitivities to respiratory problems to actual hazardous levels of particulate. It has been varying quite a bit. Reporter the smoke that comes out is still contributing to this problem and could contribute four hours to come. Obviously the more it is tamped down then the less ignition of smoke there is. The smell around here now is very much a petroleum smell as opposed to what we were smelling earlier which was a vegetation fire. Now you are starting to smell the petrochemicals themselves. Again the problem is we dont know how much damage has been done down there and we dont know what the Structural Integrity of the tanks are.
