Four Gaithersburg police officers have been identified as being involved in the fatal shooting on Friday of a man after a chase.
Four plain clothes officers approached the man identified on Saturday as 24-year-old Kwamena Ocran as he was walking in the area of 14. S. Frederick Ave. after receiving a report that he was armed with a handgun.

Gaithersburg police shot and killed a man after a chase on Friday, according to Police Chief Mark Sroka.
During a press conference following the shooting, Sroka said four plain clothes officers with a Street Crimes Unit were watching the man because of a report that he was armed.
Montgomery County police said in a press release that the officers approached the man as he was walking in the area of 14 S. Frederick Ave.
