February is American Heart Month, and a cardiac arrest survivor from Lancaster County is sharing his story. It turns out that the right person was there at the right time.Margie Gantz’s trip to Lowe’s in February 2018 turned out to be anything but routine. She saw a man slumped over the wheel of his car.“Went over and was banging on the car window, and that s when I saw him take his last breath,” she said.Gantz, who was an EMT with Penn State s Life Lion for 15 years, realized he was in cardiac arrest, and her training kicked in. She got someone to break one of his car windows, then pulled him onto the ground and did CPR.“It still feels like part of it didn t happen.
