Apr 9, 2021 LOS ANGELES – UCLA Track & Field finished up day two of the Rafer Johnson/Jackie Joyner-Kersee Invitational on Friday, coming away with strong performances across the board to conclude the Bruins third home meet of the season.   Heptathlon Isa Videler finished up her first full heptathlon of the season, compiling a lifetime-best total of 5,290 points to secure the overall victory. Videler used a dominant effort in the 800m to earn 915 points and overtake Colorado s Avery McMullen for the win in the final event of the competition. Earlier in the day, she finished second overall in the javelin (37.57m, 123-3) and fourth in the long jump (5.41m, 17-09.00), earning 621 and 674 points in the events, respectively.

Cross Country Announces 2021 Schedule, Opens Season in Arizona

LOS ANGELES – UCLA Cross Country has announced its tentative schedule for the 2021 season, as outlined by Director of Track & Field and Cross Country Avery Anderson. The cross country team will compete simultaneously with UCLA s track & field program during the indoor track season.   The cross country team is set to compete in a pair of regular season meets in Arizona to kick off the 2021 slate. The squad opens at the Arizona Invitational on Friday, Feb. 5 at the Rolling Hills Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz. UCLA will then travel back to Arizona a second regular season meet on Friday, Feb. 19. More information on this competition will be provided when additional information becomes available.
