STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. Lori Gjenashaj, a Staten Island woman shot by NYPD officers in 2018 after she allegedly brandished a starter pistol during a wild rampage, filed a lawsuit against two members of the department that is now slated to go to trial in early October.
The litigation, filed in the Southern District of New York, alleges NYPD Lt. Matthew Harrison and Police Officer Giancarlo Maratea used excessive force when they pulled her over on Grymes Hill on March 25, 2018.
