In the few short weeks following the passing of beloved Forest City auto mechanic Mark Kaiser, customers have increasingly been calling his wife and longtime business partner, Marilyn Kaiser, asking are you still open?
The answer is yes.
Kaiser Auto Repair remains open with Mark having trained Jim Schaumberg, the part-time mechanic who has worked there for several years under Markâs supervision.
Both Marilyn and daughter Melissa Nelson said the family is pleased that Schaumberg is staying on and helping to keep the business going.
âDad was battling some health issues the last few years, but would supervise and talk him through things,â Melissa said.

Mark Paul Kaiser, age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at his home in Forest City.
A memorial service for Mark will be held on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the United Methodist Church, 305 South Clark Street in Forest City. Officiating will be Pastor Doug Snyder. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
For those attending the service in person, the use of a face covering is requested, and in honor of Mark, please wear casual clothing-specifically, anything MN Vikings or racing attire is appropriate.
