EPHRATA – The Tigers earned back-to-back wins over Quincy on Tuesday night, sweeping the Jacks with 16-1 and 12-2 wins on senior night.
“I’ve been playing this sport for about 13 years, and I’ve really loved having my last year be with these girls,” Ephrata senior Alexis Park said.
QUINCY – With two outs in the top of the seventh inning and two strikes on the board, Quincy pitcher Emilee Morris had five words to keep her locked in to close out Tuesday’s 8-7 win over Cashmere in Quincy.
“‘One pitch at a time’ is what I kept telling myself,” she said.

Hope Mills, N.C. Fuquay-Varina defeated South View in the second round of the 2021 NCHSAA 4A softball playoffs thanks to a big pitching and offensive performance by Michele Tarpey. The senior is committed to play softball at NC State. Tarpey pitched 12 strikeouts, allowed no hits, and had four runs batted in offensively. She hit a solo home run, a triple, and a double.
The Bengals won 11-1 in five innings. The game ended due to the Ten Run Rule. Fuquay only had seven hits on the night. The Bengals were able to capitalize on some South View errors and a couple of wild pitches.
