Dozens of residents are now homeless after a fire in Yonkers tore through a row of multifamily homes.
Officials believe that the four-alarm fire started at the back of 99 Maple St. Sunday around 4 p.m. We do know that it was furniture in the rear of the house that caught the rear of the house in the back porches, and from there it quickly spread to the house next door to it, said Yonkers Fire Department Deputy Chief Joseph Citrone.
