(The Center Square) – More than a dozen Virginia lawmakers have announced the 2023 legislative session will be their last, revealing they do not plan to seek re-election this fall.
Norment is among more than a dozen lawmakers who announced they would not run for reelection in the General Assembly this year. Redistricting played a part in some lawmakers' decisions. The fall 2023 elections will be the first for state lawmakers under new district boundaries - some which were significantly changed.
