General Assembly undergoing shakeup with wave of retirement announcements, including State Senate Minority Leader Tommy Norment

Norment is among more than a dozen lawmakers who announced they would not run for reelection in the General Assembly this year. Redistricting played a part in some lawmakers' decisions. The fall 2023 elections will be the first for state lawmakers under new district boundaries - some which were significantly changed.
