But it is interesting to me that there is a pretty clear Fourth Amendment standard. There are hundreds of fairly recent cases on this about what kind of information the government has to put into a warrant application. And the memo does not really say how, leaving out the fact that steele was a paid opposition researcher would violate the standard. It is a hard thing to do.
