John McGreal and Marcus Bent are set to step into Joe Royle s starting line-up facing Wolverhampton Wanderers at Portman Road on Wednesday night. McGreal is definitely returns after a knee ligament injury while Bent clearly impressed his manager as a sub in the dramatic comeback against Sheffield United.
Town striker Darren Bent says he is not keen on a move away from Portman Road at this stage of his career. The 19-year-old was targeted by Newcastle United last week along with Darren Ambrose, and latterly Matt Bloomfield.
A 10th minute goal from Marcus Bent won Town another three points and took them out of the bottom three. Fulham had a late flurry but created little in the way of clearcut chances in an attacking game played in soaking wet conditions, much like the match earlier in the season at Craven Cottage.
Town will receive around £200,000 should Marcus Bent complete his move from Everton to Charlton. The Addicks are paying the Toffeemen an initial £2 million for the nomadic striker plus another £500,000 when the 27-year-old reaches a set number of appearances.
