Third Friday in downtown Lincoln will be filled with activities for all ages. The first Third Friday Downtown event of 2021 will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, May 21. Admission is free and social distancing is suggested throughout the evening.
In a press statement organizer Marcia Cook said she has been happy with the overall response.
“The event is shaping up nicely with lots of activities, food and free entertainment for the community. Several vendors and artisans have signed up to have tables at the event, but there is still plenty of room for more. Interested parties are encouraged to consider bringing their small business products, artwork, or information about their organization or club to the outdoor event.,” wrote Cook.

Lincoln Art Institute is hosting a wine tasting event from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 24, 2021 for an incredibly special wine tasting fundraiser for the Lincoln Art Institute, Lincoln. They will be featuring 32 different wines from all over the world for those in attendance to taste, thanks to Chicago Wine Consulting, personal friends of Jason Hoffman. In addition, this walk around tasting will also have Bourbon table featuring five different Bourbons to taste.
Tickets are $10 per person, of which all $10 goes toward the purchase of any wine or art that day. Twenty percent of anything purchased goes directly back to the Lincoln Art Institute. What better of any excuse to buy some wine and stock up.

3rd Friday s Downtown Committee
The City of Lincoln announced the return of the 3rd Fridays Downtown event during the months of May, June and July.
In a press statement from the 3rd Friday committee gave details on what the future events will look like.
“Currently, we are accepting applications for vendors and community groups for booth spaces on the square. We are adding an artisan market this year for artist and handmade items. Each vendor will receive a 12’ x 12’ space to occupy during hours of operation. There will be spaces with a power source and granted on a first come, first served basis,” as written in the statement.
