Miller Holmers Ltd wants to redevelop a large area of land east of Downend Road, Fareham. A PUBLIC inquiry will be held into plans to build up to 350 homes on farmland near the M27 motorway. Miller Homes Ltd lodged an appeal after its proposal to redevelop a large area of land east of Down End Road, Fareham, was rejected by the borough council. The company s application said 40% of the proposed new homes would be classed as affordable. It added that the scheme would include a large amount of green space, plus new footpaths linked to the existing rights of way network and the potential for sports provision.

Marwell Activity Centre is seeking consent to construct the timber lodges in a new area of native woodland at its site off Hurst Lane, Owslebury. The family-run centre, which opened about 40 years ago, is in the South Downs National Park. It originally applied for planning permission for more than 50 lodges but has now submitted a revised scheme. The application says: The revisions reduce the number of lodges from 52 to 40 to allow a spacious layout and maximise the area for native woodland.
