Siemens Energy signed an agreement with Spanish EPC contractor TSK to provide the company’s highly efficient energy technology and services to Atinkou (formerly known as Ciprel V), a new combined cycle power plant to be built in Jacqueville, Côte d Ivoire.
Owned by ATINKOU S.A., a subsidiary of Eranove, the power plant will have an installed capacity of 390 MW in combined cycle and introduces the first F-class gas turbine in the Sub-Saharan Africa. The plant is scheduled to begin operations in late 2022.
Siemens Energy’s scope of supply includes one SGT5-4000F gas turbine and one SST5-3000 steam turbine, each along with a generator, condenser and an SPPA-T3000 control system. Additionally, a comprehensive 12-year long-term service agreement (LTSA) has been signed between the end customer ATINKOU S.A. and Siemens Energy.

Kékéli Power Plant (Kékéli Efficient Power Thermal Power Plant), developed by Eranove group, (a French company active in the management of public services and in the production of electricity and drinking water in Africa) in the port area of Lome, the capital of Togo, will be commissioned before the end of this April according to Marc Albérola, CEO and Director in the Board of the Eranove Group.
The commissioned ceremony will be marked by the launch of “the first flame” of this power station, the installed capacity of which is 65 MW. The realization of the first flame will open the industrial implementation phase of the first 47 MW unit (open cycle)”, which will operate using SGT-800 gas turbine from Siemens.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo’s (DRC) Ministry of Energy and Hydraulic Resources has awarded the contract for the development and operation of three solar mini-grids for 25 years – known as the “Essor A2E” project – to a consortium comprising The Eranove Group, Gridworks and AEE Power Ventures.
The scope of the project – which includes the design, development, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of the mini-networks – will provide reliable, affordable and renewable operational electricity for 460,000 residents in the towns of Gemena, Bumba and Isiro in northern DRC.
While the Eranove Group will be largely responsible for the operation, maintenance of production and distribution of electricity, Gridworks will focus on transport and off-grid distribution and AEE Power Ventures on operations. The Congolese Government launched an open call for tender on the project in January 2019.
