Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor makes donation for PPE

The Fire Department got a big helping hand when the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor donated a $426 check aimed at purchasing disposable gloves.
“The department is truly appreciative to have the support of the members of the Rotary Club of Marblehead Harbor who are making a positive impact on our ability to safely serve members of our community,” said Fire Chief Jason Gilliland.
The donation was funded through a grant application made by the Club through Rotary District 7930. The District Club allocated $9,375 to police, fire, and first responders across the North Shore, Greater Boston, Salem N.H., and the Merrimack Valley specifically for personal protective equipment (PPE).

Santa Claus might have missed the lobster boat during 2020’s annual Christmas Walk but did make time to stop by nonetheless.
According to witnesses, Santa was spotted aboard the “Sea Hooker” waving to children and their families along Marblehead Harbor just off the Barnacle Restaurant.
Then Santa, who one source said looked an awful lot like Bill Crouch, visited with families at the Front Street restaurant. The jolly old elf handed out wrapped candy canes while children and other family members shared their Christmas wish list with him.
