New Delhi, June 8: The Centre has decided to identify Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) across the country which are not functioning as fertilizer retailers and encourage them to function as retailers on the basis of feasibility in a phased manner.
The Central government on Tuesday decided to allow 2,000 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) to open Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras across the country by December end, this year a move to increase the income of PACS and create employment opportunities as well as medicines available at affordable prices to people.
PM Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Kendras: The decision will not only increase the income of PACS and create employment opportunities but also make medicines available at affordable prices to the people, especially those living in rural areas
