Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Uttarakhand on Friday for a two-day visit to the state. He is scheduled to lay the foundation stones for several projects in Kedarnath and Badrinath dhams, including the 9.7 km long Gaurikund-Kedarnath ropeway and road-widening of the national highway 7 that connects Hindu pilgrim centres such as Rishikesh, Joshimath, and Badrinath with Dehradun and Chandigarh and national highway 107 from Rudraprayag to Gaurikund.
