Two persons, including a 21-year-old man who assaulted a policeman on duty at the Red Fort with a spear on January 26, has been arrested in connection with the violence at the historic monument, police said on Wednesday.

Police on Wednesday arrested two persons, including a 21-year-old man who assaulted a policeman on duty at Red Fort with a spear on January 26, has been arrested in connection with the violence at the historic monument.
The police said that various teams of the Crime Branch Unit probing the Red Fort violence case have been conducting regular raids at different places in Delhi and Punjab. The duo, Maninderjit Singh, 23, and Khempreet Singh, 21, who were actively involved in the violence, were arrested on Tuesday.

Delhi Police have arrested two more people in connection to the January 26 Red Fort violence, including a Birmingham-based Dutch national who is of Indian-origin.
While the Dutch national has been identified as Maninderjit Singh (23), the second arrested person is Delhi resident Khempreet (21) who had assaulted a policeman with a spear inside the Red Fort premises.
The two men were arrested on Tuesday (9 March) night.
According to the police, Maninderjit Singh was trying to flee the country with forged documents and posing himself as Jarmanjit Singh Khabbe Rajputan from Gurdaspur, Punjab.
The other person was a Dutch national who was arrested at the Delhi airport while trying to flee from India on forged travel documents, the police said.
