UDM councillor Zakheni Nondaka, who has become a fierce voice against the alleged looting of resources in the ANC-led Mhlontlo municipal council, has escalated his fight against corruption to co-operative governance and traditional affairs minister Thembi Nkadimeng. Over the years, Nondaka, has accused those in power of systematic looting and has on several occasions written to the office of the Eastern Cape co-operative governance MEC to intervene.
Eastern Cape co-operative governance and traditional affairs MEC Zolile Williams has called on the Mhlontlo municipal council to take disciplinary action against a high-ranking councillor who allegedly stormed an interview process for two posts in the municipality.
