According to statistics released by the Tourism Ministry, 185,000 workers in the industry has received both doses of the vaccine, as of last week. So far 316,069 people in Maldives has received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine. Which over 63 percent of the population. According to tourism ministry, 96 percent of the workers in tourism industry is included in that statistic. This includes staff from resorts, guesthouses in local islands, and staff from liveaboards as well.
