actually rescued 8 people who were stranded inside their cars throughout the district. the good news with the storm this morning, firefighters had time to prepare. they knew about this hours beforehand. so, what they did, they positioned people around the district. let s take you to video to show you what it looks like. you can see how fast the current is moving on rock creek. fire officials say that people stuck in cars were stranded one second. the next water was pouring into the cars. we spoke to one man rescued on canal road. he said he was driving a limo for 10 years and never experienced anything like what he went through today. fire officials say they were lucky. they got to prepare for this summer storm unlike other fast moving storms they dealt with recently. we spent about four or five hours through the night planning. this is not the first time we have done it. we had a bunch of urban flooding lately. so, when 7:00 came this morning, luckily we were prepared. b
