Govt Tipped on Diplomatic Academy Establishment Mkaka; There is a lot that takes to establish one As the Tonse administration ponders on the establishment of a Diplomatic Academy, governance expert Victor Chipofya has tipped capitol hill to just introduce a standalone diplomatic course at an already existing institution of higher learning than starting from scratch which he says is costly and time-consuming. Malawi needs such an academy. But, for a start government should just discuss with already established institutions that can be provided such cases,” said Chipofya. Victor Chipofya has noted that if the initiative is accomplished, Malawi will have diplomats that will be able to negotiate various deals with other countries.

Ministry of agriculture spokesperson Grecian Lungu on Monday attributed this to farmers deliberately not choosing to purchase the inputs because they have no identity card or they are dead while in others there are not inputs. Lungu said now the ministry has engaged smallholder fertilizer revolving fund in mobile vending of the inputs to reach out to farmers who are yet to buy the inputs before the closure of the program on Saturday.
