As the Tonse administration ponders on the establishment of a Diplomatic Academy, governance expert Victor Chipofya has tipped capitol hill to just introduce a standalone diplomatic course at an already existing institution of higher learning than starting from scratch which he says is costly and time-consuming. Malawi needs such an academy. But, for a start government should just discuss with already established institutions that can be provided such cases,” said Chipofya.
Victor Chipofya has noted that if the initiative is accomplished, Malawi will have diplomats that will be able to negotiate various deals with other countries.
