As the farm protests at Delhi’s borders cross 20 days, protesters say more than 20 people have died. The deceased, many of whom are from Punjab, died either of natural causes ostensibly aggravated by the harsh weather, or in road accidents, the protesters say. Farmer organisations at Singhu and Tikri say they are now preparing lists of these persons to help their families.

At least 20 protesters have died since the farmers agitation against Centre s farm laws began in November-end. The recent protester to have lost their lives are 38-year-old Bhim Singh who died of freezing cold at Singhu Border and Jai Singh who passed away after he suffered a heart attack at the Tikri border on Thursday.

Four Punjab farmers returning from protest sites near Delhi borders were killed in two separate road accidents on Tuesday. One more farmer died of heart attack in Delhi.
Expressing grief over the death of five farmers, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said that the state government will provide assistance to the families of deceased farmers as well as take care of treatment of all the injured.

Four Punjab farmers returning from protest sites near Delhi borders were killed in two separate road accidents on Tuesday.
In the first incident, two farmers belonging to Patiala were killed in an early morning accident after their tractor-trolley was hit by a truck in Haryana s Karnal district. They were identified as Labh Singh and Gurpreet Singh.
In another road mishap, two more Punjab farmers died while seven others were injured when their vehicle collided with a truck near Bhagomajra in Mohali. The deceased were identified as Sukhdev Singh and Deep Singh.
Besides, a protesting farmer died of a heart attack in the national capital. He was identified as Makkhan Khan from Punjab s Moga.
