Why do we celebrate National Voters Day? The National Voters Day has been celebrated on January 25 every year since 2011 all across the country. Share Updated: Jan 25, 2021, 06:12 AM IST Election Commission of India will celebrate the 11th National Voters Day on January 25 with the theme of `Making Our Voters Empowered, Vigilant, Safe and Informed`. During the event on Monday, President Ram Nath Kovind will confer the National Awards for the year 2020-21 and launch ECI s Web Radio: Hello Voters . The event will be held at the Ashok Hotel and the President shall grace the occasion virtually from the Rashtrapati Bhawan. Union Minister for Law and Justice, Communications and Electronics and Information Technology Ravi Shankar Prasad will also attend the function as the Guest of Honour.

Union Minister for Law Ravi Shankar Prasad would launch the programme by giving e-EPICs to five youths.  Election Commission of India  |  Photo Credit: PTI New Delhi: The Election Commission will launch the Electors Photo Identity Cards (e-EPICs) on Monday to enable voters to download the electronic version of e-EPICs on the National Voters Day. Minister for Law Ravi Shankar Prasad would launch the programme by giving e-EPICs to five youths.  Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad will launch the e-EPIC programme and distribute e-EPICs and Elector Photo Identity Cards to five new voters, the Election Commission said on Sunday.  The e-EPIC will be a non-editable PDF of the EPIC that can be stored on the DigiLocker app or printed from a computer. The e-EPICs are in addition to physical IDs being issued for fresh registration.
