This workshop will be split into two segments: 3D modeling & 3D printing:
10:00am - 12:00pm 3D Modeling in the DLL The first segment will take place in the Digital Learning Lab. Here, we will go over the basics of modeling in Rhino3d. After a quick follow-along example and some tips and tricks, you will have time to create your own model (printed in part 2).
12:00 - 12:30pm Catered lunch
12:30 - 1:30pm Printing in the PUL Makerspace In the second segment, we will explore the PUL Makerspace in the Lewis Science Library and learn about the process of 3D printing (specifically, how to go from a Rhino model -> a printed object). Everyone will then get a chance to set up their print (although the actual printing of the 3D models will take place over the following days).
