Caroline Conti Collects Weekly Honors

CLEMSON, S.C. –  Junior forward Caroline Conti has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday morning. This is the third time that Conti has received the honor in her career. Conti recorded a single game career-high five points against Boston College while recording a brace and an assist. Her goals were assisted by Makenna Morris, Megan Bornkamp and Renee Guion. Just a few days later, Conti scored the first goal of the match against No. 22 Notre Dame in the first round of the ACC Tournament, bringing her total to seven points in two games. The Tigers will travel to WakeMed Park in Cary, N.C. to battle the Virginia Cavaliers in the ACC Semifinals on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Game coverage will be available on ACC Network. Clemson Beats No 4 Seed Notre Dame to Advance to ACC Semifinals

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Clemson women’s soccer team battled for a 3-2 win at the No. 4 seed No. 22 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (13-4-1, 7-3 ACC) on Sunday night at Alumni Stadium in the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament. The fifth-seeded Tigers capitalized on each of their two first-half shots on goal and held on to secure the victory.  Clemson struck early when in the 12th minute Caroline Conti took a pass from Renee Lyles down the left wing and entered the box just a few yards from the goal line. Despite having almost no angle, she snuck the ball past the Fighting Irish keeper into the near side of the net.  In the 25th minute, Renee Guion played a cross into Megan Bornkamp, who directed her volley downwards and into the left side of the net to double the Tigers lead. The assist marked Guion’s 13th of the season, tying an all-time Clemson record. The game is set to kick off at 5 p.m. and slated to stream on ESPNU. The match marks the first time the Tigers have aired on the channel this season. The Tigers and Eagles have met 15 times, most recently in 2019 when Clemson claimed a 2-1 victory. The Eagles lead the overall series 8-6-1, but the Tigers have won the last two matches. Boston College comes into the match with a 7-9-1 overall record and a 1-8  ACC record. Clemson and Louisville Battle to 1-1 Draw on Senior Day

CLEMSON, S.C. - Despite a strong offensive effort from the Clemson women’s soccer team that saw 22 shots, the Tigers battled to a 1-1 tie against Louisville (7-6-2, 3-5-1 ACC) on Sunday afternoon at Historic Riggs Field. The match concluded the home regular season for Clemson (10-5-1, 5-3-1 ACC), who picked up a point in the ACC with the draw.  The Clemson offense controlled the ball for the majority of the first half, and Maliah Morris once again came through to get the Tigers on the board in the 30th minute. Forward Caroline Conti played a ball across, before Morris ripped a shot into the bottom left corner of the net for her third straight game with a goal. Morris’ younger sister, Makenna, also received an assist on the score. The Tigers went into the halftime break leading 1-0 and outshooting the Cardinals 9-2, with three shots on goal to Louisville’s zero.
