President yee supervisor ronen . Supervisor ronen yes. I am so proud to have the cosponsorship of every single colleague on this board. Thank you so much for standing by these workers. As i stated last week, sfvs is owned by v. C. A. , a company that owns 800 animal hospital. In 2018, v. C. A. Was purchased by mars, the candy company. The next step is for the company and union to negotiate a contract. That started 14 months ago, but unfortunately has resulted i
Conversation in why you would be prepared to take this role. Supervisor mar, do you have any comments . Supervisor mar yes. I would like to thank both candidates for your leadership that youre already showing and contributions to our city in your respective areas and still young leaders, yeah, its just great to have you, you know, so actively involved in our city and our communities. I appreciated mr. Williams perspective on how entertainment is important to our communities in improve our quality of life, especially for those facing gentrification and quality of life issues. But i think im inclined to support the reappointment of miss caminong just given her depth of experience on the Entertainment Commission and her experience in these communities. I would like to make a motion that we recommend the reappointment of Dori Caminong to the Entertainment Commission with positive recommendation as a Committee Report. Supervisor walton thank you, supervisor mar. Were on the same page, so we
Gone up a little bit, but not much on the nonhomeless population. Obviously the fact you have a broken down by battalion shows the real problem is in battalion two. All of this is really good information. The question is, how do we use it . I will just put that out there. Maybe we can figure out some ways to put it put ideas to our benefit. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you very much. Commissioner cleveland . Thank you. Thank you for your reports. A couple of quick questions. You mentioned and Emergency Response map. Is that something you can share with the commission . Emergency response map is part of what we call the 103 or battalionbased dispatch. If our communications go down in the Fire Department and there is a horrible disaster, than what we do is we break down the Fire Department into ten different departments. We need funding to expand treatment. Nobody addresses Mental Health if they are going to the streets, not permanent housing. We have 75 fulltime highly trained, highly expensive offerings responding to what is an economic crisis. A housing crisis. That is a lot of money over 40 million spent leading nowhere. That neighbor that commissioner taylor we were talking about that is frustrated. That neighbors needs are not met by moving people block to block. Those needs are met by moving people to housing. As long as we have a Police Response to homelessness we are not going to have the resources to house people. I th
Commitments, et cetera, so i dont know quite frankly if a special meeting would accomplish that. Definitely headquarters does not seem like an amicable resource for us. Commission secretary and myself talked about breaking the Retirement Group into two fiscal years because thats where the 210 come from. And if we can, control the calendar of the commission on october and do it at the last Commission Meeting on october the 23rd here is one fiscal year, and then the other fiscal year do it on November December the 11th. So we havent finalized all of this, it is just that we are trying to move towards some dates that would be accommodating for both the retirees and for the commissioners and for the general audience. We will still work on this, if you will, and if you have some feedback to the commission, to the secretary about some ideas one of the issues and the challenges to get a room that is big enough to hold the abundance of family, friends, it is such a limitation of chairs here, a
