Islamabad: Director General Anti-Narcotics Control (ANF) Major General Muhammad Arif Malik on Tuesday directed to accelerate the ongoing nationwide drive for apprehension of elements involved in sale of drug in educational institutions.
Addressing the Force Commanders Conference of Anti-Narcotics Force at Headquarters ANF Rawalpindi, he directed the force to deal with the smugglers of narcotics with iron hands.
He also directed to come hard on absconders and proclaimed offenders in drug offences, and emphasized upon taking proactive and innovative steps to curb the drug trafficking and disruption of drug supply.
Force Commanders of all ANF Regional Directorate and Senior Staff Officers attended the conference.
Secretary Ministry of Narcotics Control visits Headquarters Anti-Narcotics Force
Rawalpindi, March 05, 2021 (PPI-OT): Secretary, Ministry of Narcotics Control, Capt. (Retd) Akbar Hussain Durrani paid his first formal visit to Headquarters Anti-Narcotics Force, Rawalpindi after assuming the charge of Secretary MNC. He was welcomed by Director General ANF, Major General Muhammad Arif Malik, HI (M). The secretary was briefed on counter narcotics endeavours by ANF, professional achievements, current drug situation and major challenges with regard to trafficking of narcotics, precursor chemicals and psychotropic substances.
He was apprised that ANF is also vigorously undertaking drug demand reduction campaign through public awareness drives and community participation activities throughout Pakistan; apart from running rehabilitation centers providing free of cost treatment to drug addicts.
Indonesian envoy meets ANF DG

Islamabad : Indonesian Ambassador Adam Tugio held a meeting with the Director General Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), Major General Muhammad Arif Malik on Tuesday,during his visit to the ANF headquarters here, says a press release.
In the meeting, both officials explored concrete collaboration at bilateral level in addressing transnational crimes of illicit drug trafficking.
They also exchanged views on the challenge posed by the two countries from synthetic drugs or New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) and smuggling of NPS beyond national borders which requires enhanced cooperation at global level.
