ANF destroys seized drugs, liquor bottles in Karachi
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) in a drug burning event held in Karachi burned seized drugs and destroyed foreign brand liquor bottles.
DG ANF Major General Muhammad Arif Malik was the chief guest at the event held at Rangers Shooting Range on Karachi Super Highway.
In 2020, the Anti-Narcotics Force seized drugs worth $1.65 million. ANF seized 1452 bottles of foreign brand liquor. Drugs were burned while foreign liquor was destroyed.
DG ANF Major General Muhammad Arif Malik said that ANF is a force of 3,800 personnel. In the last two or three years, ANF seized most drugs in the world.
CM says man whose car checking led to clash is not his adviser

NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan said on Friday the man whose car checking had led to a clash between two law-enforcement forces a few days ago was not his adviser.
Talking to The News, he clarified that only members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Assembly could qualify to become his adviser.
Mahmood Khan directed the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and the Punjab Police to take action accordingly against Haider Khan who had claimed that he was an adviser to the KP chief minister.
Meanwhile, the ANF top brass took serious notice of the clash between the personnel of the ANF and security forces over the checking of the car and the subsequent alleged torture on its occupant at Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza at Attock-Khairabad.
Zero tolerance policy to be adopted for drug dealers: Ijaz Shah

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Brigadier (retd) Ijaz Ahmad Shah has emphasized on the need to target the drug dealers and providers.
“Zero tolerance policy to be adopted against these culprits,” Ijaz Shah said on Thursday during his visit to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) Headquarters in Rawalpindi after assuming the portfolio of the Federal Minister for Narcotics Control.
Upon his arrival, he was welcomed by the Director-General ANF Major General Muhammad Arif Malik and Senior Staff Officers of ANF.
It is pertinent to mention that the Federal Minister for Narcotics Control Brigadier (retd) Ijaz Ahmed Shah has already served in ANF as the Force Commander ANF Punjab from November 1996 to December 1998 and due to his meritorious Services for ANF, he was awarded Sitara-i-Basalat.
