AIOU revises exam reappear policy

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has been adopting various key measures to bring reforms in the examination system. In this regard, the University has made a principled decision and revised its ‘reappear in examinations policy’ recently.
According to the details, the Executive Council of the University, its supreme statutory body, approved the revised policy on the recommendations of the Academic Council.
The University has, also, issued a notification in this regard.
According to the notification, currently enrolled students in Ph.D. and M Phil programs will be allowed to reappear in the examinations as per previous policy till Autumn 2021 and autumn 22 respectively while a revised policy will be implemented to the students of both these programs enrolled in Spring 2021 Semester onwards and in case of failure in the examinations, they will be required to reappear in the course and complete all requirements afresh i
AIOU postpones BA exams in Poonch

Islamabad : Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has postponed final examinations of BA (Associate Degree) in District Poonch, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) till further orders.
This decision was taken in the light of COVID-19 lockdown imposed by Office of the District Education Schools, Poonch, Rawalakot (AJ&K) in all schools of Poonch district from April 16 to 28.
According to the AIOU Examination Department, BA (Associate Degree) final exams were scheduled to commence in Poonch district from April 19 like other parts of Azad Kashmir and rest of the country.
However, these examinations of autumn 2020 semester have been postponed in the examination centers including 529, 540, 541, 542, 543 and 549 in Poonch district. The revised schedule for these examinations will be announced later. It is pertinent to mention here that examinations scheduled in other parts of AJK will continue to be held as per schedule.
AIOU uploads admission confirmation info for matric, intermediate programs

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has uploaded admission confirmation information for the programs offered in the spring 2021 semester including matriculation and intermediate on its website (www.aiou.edu.pk).
According to Director Admission, the candidates who have applied for admissions in these programs may verify their admission from the admission confirmation link.
Similarly, information regarding admission rejection can be obtained from the admission objection link.
All those candidates who do not find any information regarding their admission are instructed to download the duplicate admission form from the website and post it to the Admission Department of the university on an urgent basis.
AIOU’s commences Final Examination of BA from April 19

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced that the final examination of B.A (Associate Degree) Program offered in Autumn 2020 semester will commence from April 19, 2021.
University has uploaded the date sheet and roll number slips on the website. Roll number slips are also being dispatched to the students at their given addresses.
According to the Controller Examinations, practical exams of the F.Sc program offered in Autumn 2020 semester are starting from Thursday (April 8, 2021).
A center at the Government College of Technology Samanabad in Faisalabad has been set up for practical exams of F.Sc course codes (379, 380, and 384).
