senator elizabeth warren here, whether voters support a 2% tax on wealth above $50 million. overall, 61% support that idea. that includes 75% of democrats, 57% of independents, 51% of republicans. a majority of republicans say they support this plan from elizabeth warren. yeah, i mean that s dramatic. so cautions, right. this wealth tax, which is a new idea in mainstream american politics, there haven t been a lot of attacks on it yet from republicans. it hasn t been branded as like, the warren tax, which will no doubt move things. people may not understand it. if you re used to hearing about marginal income tax rates of 20%, 30%, 40% and you hear a wealth tax of 2% you may think it s low, even though that s potentially a big amount. we ll see how the numbers move as the debate goes on. right now it s popular even with republicans. what are experts saying to
