According to its elderly welfare division, the saliva-based tests on the 13 workers on April 21 wrongly came back positive. The errors were reportedly due to issues with new machines introduced by contractors. During tests on that day, 13 of 837 individuals undergoing PCR tests were positive for the coronavirus. Because the infection rate was high, contractors tested the remaining samples again. It was then that the errors became clear.
