Starting May 17th, 2021 at 12:01 am through June 13th, 2021 @ 11:59 pm, 98.9 WCLZ will be collecting entries for its “CLZ Summer Shirt” contest. Entrants will use the provided 98.9 WCLZ logo on the contest page on 989wclz.com, to create an original design to be featured on limited edition 98.9 WCLZ t-shit. The provided logo must not be modified, but incorporated into the submitted design as a main component. Designs can be saved in JPG, JPEG, PNG, or PDF format. Entrants will submit their design on 989wclz.com. Any submitted designs without the provided 98.9 WCLZ logo will be disqualified.
Upon the completion of the promotion, the 98.9 WCLZ Program Director and Promotions Director will decide in their sole discretion, the winning design of the ‘CLZ Summer Shirt contest. Judging criteria will be based on the most creative representation of the 98.9 WCLZ brand. On June 15th, 2021, the chosen winner will be notified by phone and email. People have been missing out on so many different things since the start of this pandemic. However, one of the most-missed things, at least for us Mainers, has been being able to go to concerts.
We ve been super-spoiled here in the rural state of Maine over the last several years to have the biggest names in music (particularly country) make tour stops here thanks to the creation of Waterfront Concerts.
Obviously as the pandemic started and regulations began to be set in stone last year, there was no way that concerts could happen given the capacity and distancing guidelines enforced by the state. Even coming into this spring it was unclear if we would see any shows here.
