T-49 is a tunnel of length 12.758 km long and it is going to be the longest tunnel of Indian Railway surpassing Peer Panjal Tunnel of 11.2 km length constructed by USBRL on the Banihal-Qazigund section.
Tunnellers on Tideway, Sydney Metro and Hong Kong rail link scoop Tunnelling Awards
Tunnellers working on road, rail and, water and energy projects around the world have been recognised at the 10
th edition of the Tunnelling Awards.
Engineers from Mott MacDonald, Bam Nuttall and Balfour Beatty were among those crowned during the virtual events ceremony.
The awards recognised work on major schemes such as Tideway, Sydney Metro and the immersed tunnel on the Shatin to Central link in Hong Kong.
The Awards brought down the curtain on the two day virtual Tunnelling Festival which included talks on major projects such as the Silvertown Tunnel, Lower Thames Crossing and Grand Paris Metro.
