North Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Bryan Niewind says troopers initially responded to a crash on I-29 a little before 5 p.m. Tuesday after a pickup truck struck a motorcycle near mile marker 64.
Maichael Yousa is accused of rear-ending a motorcyclist who suffered life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run crash. A state trooper later shot Yousa during an exchange of gunfire, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
