The trial of Maichael Yousa is set for June. Prosecutors alleged the man acted willfully and understood his actions were criminal when he nearly killed another in a crash and shot at a state trooper.
Trooper Miles Rhonemus returned fire and injured Maichael Yousa after Yousa allegedly caused a nearly fatal crash and led officers on a high-speed chase.
Maichael Yousa, 28, of Fargo, will be evaluated to determine if his competency can be restored, but prosecutors cited a psychologist's report that Yousa showed "obvious signs of malingering."
