The South Arkansas College Board is pleased to announce that its current search for a new president has resulted in three finalists, chosen from among 22 applicants. The finalists will be on campus April 9, 10, and 11, for a final round of interviews. There will be an open forum for anyone interested in attending from 3:30-5:00 p.m. each of those days in the Mahony Family Library on campus.
Friends and family gathered in the Mahony Family Library on the campus of South Arkansas College on Friday to celebrate the life and philanthropic work of Bill Howard, who was also celebrating his 100th birthday.
Representatives with the Arkansas Land and Community Development Corporation visited El Dorado on Thursday for an informative meeting at the Mahony Family Library auditorium. The meeting, which also included representatives from the Farm Service Agency and USDA Rural Development among others, focused on informing attendees about resources and funding for farming with specific focuses on urban farming and underserved communities.
