According to officials, the cylinders were refilled within 24 hours, although the time limit had been fixed between 36 and 48 hours.

GHAZIABAD: To deal with the oxygen requirement of Covid-19 patients in home isolation, the district administration has urged the residents’ bodies to arrange for cylinders collectively and provide them for refilling, instead of running to refilling centres individually. Officials said they would get them refilled and return to RWAs within 36-48 hours. In many cases, the kin of patients are not getting oxygen on time.
State-appointed nodal officer Senthil Pandian C, who held a meeting in this regard on Monday, said a collection and distribution point would be created in each of the five zones for this purpose, where RWAs can deposit their oxygen cylinders for refilling.

In total, the UP government bulletin of April 16 said that 46 out of the stateâs 75 districts did not have any COVID-19 related deaths on April 15. These districts include Barabanki, Azamgarh, Sonbhadra, Chandauli, Bijnor, Bahraich, Amroha, Shamli, Kannauj, Mau, Sambhal, Bhadohi, Eta and Hathras among others.Â

GHAZIABAD: Even as the city is struggling with rampant garbage dumping in almost every municipal area, the civic body as come up with an ambitious plan of launching “spot the garbage” challenge on social media, especially Twitter, from this week. Under the initiative, residents will be asked to tag the civic body along with pictures of garbage dumps in their area and the civic body will clean them within 24 hours and provide the geo-tagged photo with location and timing. Officials said that initially they will clean the spot in 24 hours, but over the period of time, the response time will be reduced to just two hours. They added that the department has also formed a “Team-100” comprising one volunteer from each ward whose job will be to keep an eye on civic issues and inform the official concerned so that timely action can be initiated.
