The Taguig City government has launched its mobile vaccination bus for those who cannot go to vaccination centers.

Pia Cayetano to the mega vaccination hub at SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City.

The Taguig City government opened its third mega vaccination hub for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) at the Samsung Hall of SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City.

This is also part of SM’s partnership with local government units nationwide under its multi-mall vaccination program to help in curbing the spread of COVID-19.

Top officials of the National Task Force (NTF) Against COVID-19 visited Friday, April 16, a newly-opened mega vaccination hub located at a mall in Taguig City, which was established to boost the city government’s inoculation program against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
Secretary Carlito Galvez Jr., vaccine czar and NTF chief implementer, led the inspection of the mega vaccination hub at SM Aura in Bonifacio Global City (BGC), Taguig. It is the first vaccination hub in BGC and the seventh vaccination site in the city.
Galvez was joined by testing czar and NTF deputy chief implementer Vince Dizon, Senator Pia Cayetano, and other members of the task force during the activity, which also included a briefer on the city’s best practices in the vaccine rollout.

As of April 8, the total inoculations in Taguig consisted of 8,512 frontline workers in health facilities, 3,091 senior citizens and 2,552 people with comorbidities. Of the 8,512 frontliners, 536 have already received their second dose of the vaccine.
Comorbidity is the presence of more than one disease or condition in a person at the same time, according to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The city government said vaccination will continue until the supply coming from the national government lasts. It aims to vaccinate all senior citizens in the first half of the year and to provide vaccines to 630,000 eligible citizens.
